“The launch of our latest Vyper FDM 3D printer showcases our continued commitment to providing premium 3D printers that innovate the 3D printing workflow making it easier and more convenient than ever before for our customers,” said James Ouyang, Vice President of Anycubic. The AnyCubic Vyper goes on sale at 7 am PST / 4 pm CEST on June 10. You can pick one up via the official AnyCubic store (opens in new tab), as well as through the AnyCubic eBay store and AliExpress. The MSRP of the Anycubic Vyper is $359 but there is an early bird offer where the first 3000 machines sold will cost just $299. The AnyCubic Vyper is a fused deposition modeling (FDM) printer, which is what most people think of when they hear the phrase 3d printer. It prints items a layer at a time by melting and depositing thin layers of plastic in a specific pattern determined by the object you’re trying to print. You can print anything from vases and miniatures (opens in new tab) to practical objects like tools and replacement parts for your motorcycle (opens in new tab). It’s easy to think of 3D printing as a rich person’s hobby or sci-fi technology, but these days devices like the AnyCubic Vyper are making it an affordable and accessible hobby that anyone can enjoy. The automatic levelling feature takes a lot of the busywork out of setting up and aligning your printer, so you can just start it up, run the levelling program and then start printing. It also has a large print bed measuring in at 245 x 245 x 260 millimeters (9.65 x 9.65 x 10.2 inches) so you can print larger pieces, and a double fan, two-way heat dissipation system to rapidly cool your prints. The Vyper is also aiming to be one of the quietest FDM 3D printers on the market thanks to its new chipset and drivers that manage voltage control, movement, and noise. You can either connect your printer directly to your home computer, or you can transfer files to it via memory card and use the built-in 4.3 inch touch screen. We’ve been testing an AnyCubic Vyper for the past week and we’ve found it super simple to use. The user interface is clear and easy to use and we’ve already had some great prints. We’ll have our full review of the AnyCubic Vyper up on site soon, along with some great features to help you get started with 3D printing. if you’re looking for a more traditional, 2D printer then we’ve got you covered there too.
