There have been rumblings of an uprising Buster meta, but Arts players have too much three-turn farming to do to pay them any attention! In this list we’ll be taking a look at the best overall Arts Servants who dominate their respective roles. As a disclaimer, we won’t be including many of the support Casters on this list, such as Waver, Merlin, or Skadi. While their face cards and NPs are Arts, they’re better suited for Buster or Quick teams (aside from Waver). However, we would also be hard-pressed to refer to Merlin or Skadi as a respective Buster or Quick Servant when they are so clearly Arts! To avoid the hassle of debating this for hours on end, we’ve decided to exclude Arts Casters who are designed to buff other card types. We’ll still be including Arts Casters who buff Arts users, however. So let’s get started!
5. Artoria Pendragon (Archer)
Squirtoria is your go-to boss nuker. She’s able to dish out massive single-target Arts damage with her face cards, and more importantly, with her NP. Squirtoria can not only buff her own attack, but also buff the party’s Arts effectiveness as well. Which makes her a decent Arts support Servant for your team as well. However, Squirtoria’s potential is wasted in a supporting role, as her massive damage reduces even the most powerful enemies to dust in a matter of seconds.
4. Tamamo-no-Mae (Caster)
Tamamo’s long reign as the queen of the Arts meta has since ended – but she still functions as well as she always has. She offers a great Arts buff and self-defense buff for herself on her skills. She was made to survive in extended fights, and this is only amplified when discussing her NP. Tamamo’s NP grants all allies NP charge, recovers their health, and most importantly, reduces skill cooldowns. Most skills in FGO can only be fired off once per fight due to their long cooldowns. However for extended fights against difficult bosses or challenge quests, this cooldown reduction can prove vital.
3. Miyamoto Musashi (Berserker)
Musashi Berserker is considered the second-best Arts farming Servant in the game. Second-best in no way means she’s terrible, as Musashi Berserker can three-turn loop with the best of them! In fact, at higher NP levels, Musashi Berserker is the optimal pick as she requires fewer skills to be activated before firing off NPs. This saves you valuable microseconds when winding down to the end of an event! Musashi is really a great farming Berserker. And we highly recommend picking her up if you can get yourself to around NP4 or higher. If not, then you might want to check out the following Servant instead…
2. Space Ishtar
While Space Ishtar can be considered dominant in any role (be it Buster, Quick, or Arts), she excels the most as an Arts Servant. And this is likely why her default NP is Arts before you can opt to switch it up. When looking at farming options for Arts Servants, there’s a plethora to choose from. Servants such as Da Vinci Lily, Jeanne D’Arc Archer, and even low stars like Chen Gong can all function fairly well. However, Space Ishtar is the premier farmer for Arts-centric teams, thanks to her high damage as an Avenger and the ability to charge her own NP by 50%. While this is a list of the best Arts Servants, Space Ishtar is great because she can fit into any meta that FGO will ever have (before FGO2 releases the fabled fourth card type). Definitely pick up Space Ishtar if you have the chance.
1. Artoria Pendragon (Caster)
Caster Artoria singlehandedly revitalized the Arts meta. Unlike Skadi who only makes a certain subset of Quick Servants viable, Castoria makes nearly every Servant with an AOE Arts NP able to three-turn loop. Castoria’s Arts buffs and targetable 50% NP battery make her the kind of support Servant that would be considered a “must-pull” for many players. And her NP, unlike Skadi, is not useless – it can buff your team’s damage even further! If you only pick up one Servant from this list, make sure it’s Castoria.
