The game’s plot features the hunter Aloy, navigating a world that has been taken over by robots. Setting out to seek assistance from neighboring communities, Aloy has to use her keen archery skills to keep the wayward automaton population at bay.

It’s set in a beautifully rendered open world which we’re very much looking forward to exploring – and if the action-RPG elements can captivate us the same way the Souls series did, we may be in for something very special.

But which version do you choose? Carry on reading to find out!

Pre-Order Bonuses

Before we even consider the different editions of the game, you might want to look at the pre-order bonuses you’ll receive depending on where you buy it.

All pre-orders come with the Nora Machine Trapper Pack – which will allow you to modify your weapons and outfit, as well as providing goodies for crafting ammo and traps.

If you plan to pre-order from EB Games or Gamestop, you’ll also get two retailer-specific bonuses:

Nora Lookout Armor - this outfit offers camouflage protection to help you remain undetected, and an extra modification slot. Nora Longshot Bow - the improved accuracy of this bow and an extra modification slot will give you a much stronger fighting chance in the wild, right from the beginning.

UK gamers can also benefit from these bonuses through GAME.

Once you’ve picked your pre-order retailer, you’ll need to choose the actual version of the game that you want. Here are the options:
